Frequently answered
Questions, answered directly.
If we don't know, we say we don't know. If the research is mixed, we name both sides. If a question doesn't have a satisfying answer, we give the unsatisfying one instead of the marketable one.
Product & sourcing.
One ingredient: bovine colostrum, sourced from grass-fed North American dairy herds, collected within the first 12 hours post-partum, low-heat processed to preserve immunoglobulin activity. Standardized to a minimum 20% IgG. No fillers, no flow agents, no sweeteners, no flavoring.
Grass-fed herds yield colostrum with a measurably higher bioactive profile. We published a breakdown in the Library — read Grass-fed vs. conventional →.
No. Our partner farms operate on a calves-first protocol: the calf receives its full allotted colostrum; only the surplus is collected for processing. We will not source from operations that do not meet this standard.
Yes — required by federal regulation. We use low-heat, batch-style pasteurization designed to neutralize pathogens while preserving IgG and other bioactive compounds. The COA on every batch reports post-pasteurization IgG content.
Trace amounts. Colostrum is distinct from milk; the lactose load is low but non-zero. Severely lactose-intolerant users should consult a clinician before use.
Dosing & use.
3 g (1 scoop) once daily is the label dose for healthy adults. For intent-specific protocols — immune resilience, gut integrity, athletic recovery — see the Protocol →. More is not better; supra-physiological dosing is not supported by the published research.
Morning, on an empty stomach, 20–30 minutes before your first meal. Water only. No hot liquids — heat denatures the immunoglobulins. For training-day timing variations, the Protocol → handles the edge cases.
Not with hot coffee. If you must combine, mix the colostrum into room-temperature water first and drink it 10–15 minutes before the coffee. The heat-sensitivity is about preserving the bioactive protein fractions.
Depends on intent. Gut-barrier effects in the published literature typically show within 4 weeks. Immune-resilience effects in athletes are most consistent at 8–12 weeks of sustained use. This is not a stimulant — do not expect a noticeable same-day response.
Generally yes. Colostrum is benign in combination with most whole-food-based supplements. Avoid stacking with high-dose zinc at the same time of day (both compete for absorption pathways). If you are on prescription medication — particularly immunosuppressants — consult a clinician first.
Testing & COAs.
Yes. Every batch ships with an independent third-party COA, downloadable from your account portal under the order it shipped with, or directly from the COA archive →. Each COA reports IgG content, microbial load, heavy metals, and pathogen screening.
We rotate between two ISO/IEC 17025-accredited independent laboratories to prevent any single lab's methodology from becoming a blind spot. The lab name and methodology are on every COA.
A batch that fails spec does not ship. Full stop. Our COA policy is publish-or-perish — if the numbers aren't there, the batch is destroyed and the run is re-done. We will not ship a batch that falls short of our published minimums.
Shipping & returns.
All 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. We do not currently ship to U.S. territories, APO/FPO addresses, or international destinations — international shipping is something we're working on. Full details on the shipping page →.
Orders ship within two business days. Standard shipping is 3–5 business days. Expedited options available at checkout. See Shipping & returns → for details.
30-day return window on unopened product. For opened product, we offer a quality replacement within 30 days if the COA is ever challenged or disputed. We do not issue partial refunds or restocking fees. Full details on the returns page →.
About the company.
Iron Verity is a Wisconsin-based supplementation company built on the premise that trust is the only real competitive advantage in the supplement industry. Read the full story on About →.
We ship a SKU when it meets our standard. Not before. Additional products — lactoferrin, creatine — are in the pipeline but will not launch until sourcing, testing, and COA cadence meet the same bar as IV Colostrum.
Email is the primary channel: info@ironverity.com. Response within two business days. We do not run a 24/7 support line because we are a small team and would rather answer thoughtfully than quickly.
